Biography
Jenna Jameson is one of the most popular porn stars in America. Jenna Jameson was originally Jennifer Marie Massoli and was born in Las Vegas on April 9, 1974. Ironically, her father was a cop. Her mother was a showgirl but died of skin cancer when Jenna was a toddler. Jenna was a natural blonde and was always interested in showbiz. She took ballet classes during her childhood and participated in many beauty pageants.
When Jenna was just 16, she ran away from her home to live with her then tattoo artist boyfriend. He was the one to give her the famous Jenna trademark tattoo of double hearts on her back. He was a big influence on her entering the world of porn. With a fake ID, the underage Jenna soon landed a job as a strip dancer in a Las Vegas strip club, Crazy House. Apparently, she was first turned away because of her braces. She was taken back when she took them off herself with a set of pliers. She was soon a hot number in the club and started making as much as $2000 per night.
However, Jenna got addicted to drugs and her father helped her fight against the habit. With her father's encouragement, she started modeling for adult magazines such as Hustler, Penthouse, and Cheri when she was just 20 years old. With further encouragement from her father, she started pursuing an acting career with adult films. In 1994, she got a big break when she landed a contract with a porn film production company, Wicked Pictures. Her fan following grew with the films Up and Cummers 11 (1994), Cherry Pie (1994), and Blue Movie (1995).
In 1996, Jenna won three major awards in the porn industry-the XRCO Best New Starlet, the AVN Best New Starlet, and the F.O.X.E. Video Vixen. It was the first time any performer had won all three awards. Jenna Jameson was now a star. The same year, she got married for the first time to porn star Brad Armstrong. However, they got separated after just ten weeks.
In 1997, she got her first mainstream role in Howard Stern's Private Parts (1997). This led to more such cameo roles in mainstream movies.
In 2002, Jenna appeared in a video for Eminem's Without Me. But what made her a household name was her autobiography, How To Make Love Like a Porn Star: A Cautionary Tale, released in 2004.
In 2003, she signed a seven-year contract with Vivid Entertainment Group to star in at least 15 films. The same year, she got her divorce from her first husband and married Jay Grdina, a porn studio owner. They had formed a porn company, Club Jenna, in 2000. It went on to become a successful multi-media adult entertainment business.
Jenna Jameson has come a long way and has made millions in the billion-dollar world of porn. She is rightfully called the "Queen of Porn".
