Biography
Pamela Anderson is a Canadian-American actress, model, producer, and author. She is famous for her breast implants and her role as C.J. Parker in the widely popular television series Baywatch. She is one of the most popular models of Playboy.
Pamela Denise Anderson was born in Ladysmith, British Columbia on July 1, 1967, Canada's Centennial Day and was known as the "Centennial Baby". Pamela was a normal girl with braces and normal interests like volleyball and saxophone. Her aspiration in life as written in her yearbook was to be a California beach bum.
In 1989, her life changed when she was seen on the huge screen at the football game she had gone to. The crowd went wild on seeing her in a Labatt beer T-shirt. Labatt instantly hired her as a model and Pamela's image was splashed across posters in bars all over Canada.
Her popularity soon got her the chance to appear on the cover of the 1989 October issue of Playboy. She then shifted to Los Angeles to pursue her modeling career. She had breast implants and bleached her hair color to blonde. In 1991, she landed the role of Lisa in the popular sitcom Home Improvement.
In 1992, she got her big break when she started playing the role of lifeguard C.J. Parker in a red swimsuit in the television series Baywatch. She became a household name and shot to international fame. That year also saw Pamela making her film debut as a cheerleader in a low-budget action film, The Taking of Beverly Hills (1992). She acted in minor roles in a few mediocre movies before she starred in the feature film, Barbwire (1996). The film was a flop and did not do much for her film career.
On February 19, 1995, after a whirlwind romance, Pamela got married for the first time to Tommy Lee, the drummer of the band Motley Crue. They had two sons. They finally got divorced in 1998 after filing for divorce twice and reconciling twice. Pamela went on to get married the second time in July 2006 to the musician Kid Rock after an on-off relationship.
In early 1998, an allegedly stolen intimate honeymoon home video of Pamela and her then-husband, Tommy Lee was posted on the Internet. Pamela sued Internet Entertainment Group, which was distributing the video. Pamela and Lee were awarded $1.5 million. Pamela ended up the winner on two counts with a cash settlement of $1.5 million awarded by the court and the rise in popularity.
In September 1998, Pamela produced and starred in the series V.I.P. It was a flop but viewers tuned into just see her. The show was finally cancelled in 2002. In 2003, she acted in Scary Movie 3.
In 2004, Pamela was seen nude for the first time on the cover of Playboy magazine with bigger breasts. She had new implants after removing the old ones in 1999. The reason she cited was that she didn't feel like herself. One of the more controversial celebrities in the entertainment business, we have surely not seen the last of Pamela.
